Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world: 12,507 ft above sea level. 1 The bus trip from Arequipa to Puno was excellent. Not only do we get to see more of the countryside, but we also acclimate to the higher elevation more naturally. 7 The next morning we went to Lake Titicaca (elevation 12,507 ft). This boat (SS Ollanta) came from England in parts and assembled here. Na manhã seguinte fomos ao Lago Titicaca (elevação 3.812 metros). Este navio (SS Ollanta) veio da Inglaterra em partes e foi montado aqui.

Nearly 3 weeks in Southern Peru allowed us the opportunity to visit several historical and archaeological sites as well as several churces and other must-see destinations, including Lima, Arequipa, Chivay, Colca Valley, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Uros, Taquile, Cusco, Saqsaywaman, Tambomachay, Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes, Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu. In Machu Picchu, besides the site itself, we also hiked up Huayna Picchu for an entirely different view of Machu Picchu.
